Want to search for something on a specific web site? Go to Google and type in the box “site:www.DomainName.com keyword” and click search. For example, if you want to look for stories about “Peach Pie” on CNN’s web site you would use Google to search “site:cnn.com peach pie”
Want to see what web sites link TO another web site? Type in the box “to:www.DomainName.com” and click search. For example, if you want to see what sites and blogs link TO Apple’s consumer web site, you would type “to:apple.com”
Want to avoid certain words in your search? For example, you want to see web sites that discuss “coffee” but never mention “Starbucks” then you type “coffee -starbucks” and click search.
Want to see web sites that link discuss coffee, but don’t discuss starbucks, and link TO the Cable News Network? Type “to:cnn.com coffee -starbucks“
